Going to school is a new and exciting adventure for young children. Our kids go through many stages of development throughout their academic career, and each step of the process, beginning as early as preschool, is essential to their success in the future. Parent involvement can be a great asset to their child’s academic development during their early years, and there are many known benefits including better attendance in school, stronger social skills, and higher graduation rates. There are many things that parents can do to get involved with their child's education such as keeping the lines of communication open with their child’s teachers so they can learn how to reinforce their child’s studies at home and creating a home environment that encourages learning.
