Family Life Child Care Centers of Berea and Brook Park Salute Our Veterans
This Veteran’s Day, Family Life Child Care Centers of Berea and Brook Park celebrated the sacrifice and service of those serving our country in the military, past and present. In honor of Brook Park’s troops, the Family Life Child Care Center of Brook Park invited four soldiers from the National Guard Armory, 112th Engineer Battalion of Brook Park, to lunch. The children made posters for the soldiers and were very excited and inquisitive. The soldiers brought and shared their MRE’s (Meals Ready to Eat) and everyone got a chance to taste test!
The Family Life Child Care Center of Berea’s staff and children saluted our veterans and military personnel with their own personal art work which, through the USO, they shared with local Veteran groups and military personnel currently deployed. Additionally, the Berea Center held an open house, so visiting children and families could participate in the festivities and create their own art work for the Veterans.
