Director of the Family Life Child Care Program Named Outstanding Program Administrator of 2012

Family Life Child Care Centers are proud to announce that Julie Piazza-King, Director of the Family Life Child Care Program, is the recipient of the Ohio Association for the Education of Young Children’s 2012 Outstanding Program Administrator award. The Outstanding Program Administrator Award recognizes outstanding directors, principals and other administrators of early childhood programs who are advocates for quality programming which meets the needs of staff and families while also providing administrative leadership and support to ensure developmentally appropriate practice.

Ohio Association for the Education of Young Children is the premier membership organization and voice of early care and education professionals in Ohio. They believe in the importance of celebrating excellence, especially among those whose efforts have significantly raised the standard of care and education for Ohio’s youngest children. As part of the 2012 Ohio Early Care and Education Conference, the Ohio Association for the Education of Young Children will be honoring their 2012 award recipients on Friday, April 20, 2012.

“Julie exemplifies the values of an early childhood leader,” says Susan Hyland, Assistant Vice President of Early Childhood and Family Support Programs. “During her twenty plus years in the field, Julie has guided the growth and quality of the Family Life Child Care Centers, advocated for young children and contributed to the professionalization of the field. She is an exceptional illustration of a passionate, dedicated early childhood professional and is very deserving of this award.”
